Bangladesh Unplugged, a standup comedy show and Networking Event! (in NYC)

Bangladesh Unplugged is more than a comedy show. It’s a high-energy gathering of Bangladeshi professionals, entrepreneurs, and creatives. It’s a space to connect, laugh, and share stories without filters. The night blends stand-up comedy, soulful performances, networking, and classic adda.

This edition features an incredible lineup of Bangladeshi and Bangladeshi-American talent:

Usama Siddiquee – Stand-up comedian and actor featured on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and America’s Got Talent. Usama’s energetic comedy explores cultural identity with sharp insight.

Shafi Hossain – Comedian, writer, and host of the podcast AMERICANIZED, exploring American influences abroad. Featured on ALL THINGS COMEDY and The Laugh Button.

Naveed Mahbub – Pioneer of stand-up comedy in Bangladesh, known for The Naveed Mahbub Show, offering humor grounded in everyday life and cultural pride.

Zubi Ahmed – Bengali-American writer, comedian, and filmmaker, co-host of Kutti Gang, exploring culture and identity with humor.

Ali Mehedi – Host and curator, seasoned stand-up comedian, featured on CBC Canada, founder of Laughing Lassi and Ghorar Dimm, with international performances including Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Halifax Comedy Festival.

The event is curated and hosted by Ali Mehedi, bringing together a fresh show celebrating Bangladeshi creators, entrepreneurs, and artists.
