Modern Silent Shorts (in NYC)

CWP presents Modern Silent Shorts, a selection of silent film screenings with original, live accompaniment.

Since 2023 Modern Silent Shorts has commissioned exciting, young directors to create new works of silent film which reexamine the medium’s original form.

This screening will include 7 films from Modern Silent Shorts, ranging from animation to horror to slapstick comedy. The screening will be accompanied by live original orchestration performed by Greg Pease, Ryan Vinh, Athos Maelstrom, and composer Kevin Donald.
