Dirty Work: The Dirtier Cut (in LA)

June 22 @ 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm
$19.50
  • « Q.E.D. Astoria (in NYC)
  • Eastville Comedy Club (in NYC) »

In the decades following its 1998 release, Norm Macdonald often referred to the original “dirtier” cut of Dirty Work that was trimmed in favor of receiving a PG-13 rating. Though beloved by all (?) who’ve sampled its fetid, fishy, and freaky flavors, fans have long pondered what the liberated sensibilities of Macdonald, director Bob Saget, and co-writers Frank Sebastiano and Fred Wolf had in mind for unsuspecting audiences. Through a meticulous restoration of original camera negatives, Vinegar Syndrome archivist Oscar Becher and his team have recreated an early, filthy cut from “a preview cut, a workprint tape, and a two-hour assembly video.”

Don’t miss the Los Angeles premiere of the 4K Restoration. It’s your one and only chance to honor the preservationists and the legendary work of Macdonald, co-stars Artie Lange, Christopher McDonald, Don Rickles, Chevy Chase, Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, Traylor Howard, Jack Warden, and so many more.
