Calling all respectable ladies and gentlemen, all ill-reputed ladies and gentlemen, and all you damn queers. Do you have a nascent obsession with Jane Austen? Did Bridgerton turn you on? Are you a recovering theater kid? Do you sometimes speak in a fake British accent? Were you disappointed that at Sleep No More you were only allowed to watch? Have you ever seen a play and thought you could create something better? Does none of this apply to you but hey what else are you doing on a Sunday afternoon? Well if any of these describes you then let me tell you about the hottest event in town. 🥂

On Sunday September 15th in the sleepy town of Bushwick the Cromwell and Granville families will be united in a beautiful and tasteful wedding ceremony. You are cordially invited to attend this magical celebration of love. Be you a cousin, a friend, or a meddling aunt, we hope you will join us in toasting the happy couple. And we feel rest assured that you will not bring any drama to this harmonious occasion — this is a wedding after all. The couple has graciously waved their right to gifts so no need to bring anything or make any preparations. (Come dressed in your regency best or a lazy approximation).

This is an interactive theater experience based on the RPG Good Society. That means this is an opportunity to come perform in an improvised play with us! It will be set in regency era England which means we will be playing with the tropes of that era — romance, gossip, snooty classism, sexist inheritance laws, and vague British accents. However, while these are the tropes, they are simply set pieces to create a regency atmosphere and are neither strict requirements nor a license for real discrimination. This is an inclusive environment for people to come together and collectively tell a regency-esque story — the comfort of all players is the top priority. It is up to you the extent you would like to participate in these tropes. As this is the 19th century, courting will figure prominently, but you will have the option to opt-out of romance if you so choose. Furthermore, all courting (and everything that happens during the experience) is purely fictional and will vanish into ephemera the moment it is over — if you want to actually court another player you may do that on your own time. Otherwise, just have fun out there, kid.

This will take place in a private downstairs venue. Drinks and food will be available to purchase upstairs in the public section of the bar.
