Hot Reads (in LA)

September 11, 2024 @ 9:30 pm - 11:00 pm
$12.32
  • « Grayson Bar (in LA)
  • Eastville Comedy Club (in NYC) »

Some of LA’s best comedians send us their weirdest sketches. We print off paper scripts and highlight roles.

And those same comedians grab scripts at random and perform them for you live.

No rehearsals. No prior casting. Just HOT READS.

There’s also an optional drinking game! Grab a beverage at the Lyric Hyperion bar and join the cast as we drink whenever certain buzz words are said during the sketches!

Originated in Chicago, Hot Reads is an experimental sketch comedy show that has been staged monthly in front of packed crowds at Logan Square Improv since 2019 (and still is to this day). This show gives comedians a chance to stage the sketches that were deemed “to weird to rehearse”, creating an absurd, raw, and playful atmosphere.

Don’t miss the least-prepared sketch show in all of Los Angeles!
