There is so much care, vulnerability, originality, honesty, and, of course, damn good comedy that goes into an hour from New Jersey’s favorite son, Chris Gethard. One shouldn’t miss out on watching/listening to any hours of his comedy, but definitely one shouldn’t not miss the chance to attend a taping of any Gethard’s hours as it’ll undoubtedly make you feel all the feels and have you busting up at the same time.
NYC has such a chance this weekend with Chris laying down his latest special chronicling his experience as a father, which will undoubtedly be a more than welcome break from the giant swath of stand-up comedy from comedians that seemingly hate their kids. Even though we’d never have kids, we’d love to see Chris’ take on it.
There will be three nights for this special that’s going to be called “A Father and The Sun” at The Audible Theater at Minetta Lane between Fri. Mar. 31st-Sun. Apr. 2nd, all at 7PM. Tickets start at $36 and you best go get them here since they’re almost sold out.
