None of Your Business (in LA)

After staring at the television for ten years straight, watching movie after movie, with no intention of stopping; this fellow hears a party on the other side of the wall. The sound of music and laughter compels him to turn off the TV, put on his best outfit, pour himself a drink and venture out into the night. When he enters, the entire party stops what they’re doing and looks at him. He looks back. This is where the show begins.

Reshma Meister has been developing clown bits and internet videos around Los Angeles for the past few years. She’s performed at The Elysian, Dynasty Typewriter, Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Store, and more. She has devised work with Speigelworld, created many digital skits for Fashion Brand Company, and recently made an appearance in “Sketchy Queens” developed by Liam Krug and Jinx Monsoon. She plays regularly within the clown ensemble FLWLS and astrology clown group, PLANETS,PLANETS,PLANETS. “None of Your Business” is her latest project where she explores train of thought, etiquette, and social rules. It premiered this year at Fresno’s Rogue Festival where Kings River Magazine said, “The uniqueness of None of Your Business is difficult to capture in a written description. Exquisitely weird and oddly appealing, this is one of the most “fringe” productions I have had the pleasure to experience at the Rogue. A delight from start to finish, I highly recommend it.”
